Don’t call us, we’ll call you….
That is what I heard after my first job interview with Harry Been and Henny Smorenburg from the KNVB, the Royal Netherlands Football Association when applying for a role at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, 20 years ago.
Normally that is not the most positive thing you can hear after an interview.
But I just felt “This is my job”, even though they still had to create this job.
This was my follow-up letter, sent from the campsite on Corsica, where I was temporarily working at the time.

I am still proud of my younger self
If you have been following me, you know what it led to….
It’s about Showing Up; deciding to go for it. It’s about taking bold moves.
Next week I am going to organise “Showing Up – the Summer Edition”.
Four Masterclasses about networking, personal branding, staying top of mind, LinkedIn, and the opportunity to ask me all your questions.
It is the last time this year that I will be offering these Masterclasses.

This is what “Showing Up” brought me, how are you going to show up?
